In 2004, Totem, a Ukrainian youth organization, began work to save the house of folk artist Polina Rayko (1928-2004). She took up drawing and painting when she was 69 years old and eventually her entire home became a work of art.
After Polina died on January 15, 2004, the fate of the house became uncertain. Many wish to preserve it as a museum but her family does not seem to be interested. You can read more about it and see photos here.
