Barry Adamson, is a composer and performing artist who got his start with bands like Magazine, Pete Shelley, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and the Birthday Party. In what some considered to be a strange move, he left the world of rock and roll and studied film at NYU, where he ultimately composed his first solo album Moss Side Story, a movie soundtrack without a movie. His score for the little known film Delusion is just magnificent and was an inspiration for me and my partners back in the day.

This would go very well with martinis on the patio.
Bonjour M. Nag,
C'est vrai.
About half of his music has this vibe, the rest, not so much.
His album Oedipus Schmoedipus is a safe bet, good all the way through.
