When have there ever been certain times?
Andrew Wyeth, Painter, Dies at 91
I've always loved that painting...so sad to lose another great.
Sadness. When I was a kid, just 8 or 9 years old, my dad and I went to the National Gallery in D.C. to see an exhibition of Wyeth's work. I knew even then that it was something special.
That's too bad. I remember being introduced to Wyeth' work via The Preacher comic. If you haven't read it, totally recommended. I see such intense longing in this piece.
Hi everybody,Wyeth's death has created quite a ripple.I didn't realize until today that Christina was crippled and was dragging herself home. That painting always struck me, now even more.I will look for that, Syd.
